Hanoi: Car parking fees vary according to land prices

Hanoi’s authority has received several suggestions concerning the charges for car parking in some central districts, said Mr Nguyen The Thao, Chairman of the Committee on January 19th.
Mr Thao said that the method was also applied in many places in the world, such as Paris and London. Since the idea is realistic, the city might deliver it to car owners in the coming time.
Car parking fee will be charged according to the land price in the area; ie, in Hoan Kiem District, average land price is VND 60 million per square meter so that parking fee will be around VND 10,000 for the first hour and increased in each subsequent hour.
